I Quit!

Who could have predicted that 25-40% of employees today would be thinking about quitting their jobs. Deemed the “Great Resignation” by economists, there appears to be a potential mass exodus in the work force. Why such a resignation boom now? Experts such as University of Michigan economist, Betsey Stevenson, say that people have had time (at home) to consider, “Is this what I want to be doing with my life?” Many folks have enjoyed the past 15 months of flexibility in their lives and are reluctant to get back to the grind. Working from home wasn’t so bad (unless you’re an extreme extrovert, of course). But the Global Pause has given us all time to think and to consider our career options as well as our purpose. Not at all a bad thing, methinks!
